Event: The U.S. Embassy is aware of a planned march scheduled to occur on Friday, November 10 in the city of Maputo. The march is set to be begin at 0900 at Robert Mugabe Square and may extend to other areas in the city. As usual, U.S. citizens are advised to follow the below standing guidance.

Be aware of your surroundings.
Maintain a low profile.
Carry proper identification.
Review your personal security plans.
Keep your cell phone charged in case of emergency.
Monitor local media for updates and factor updated information into your travel plans and activities.
