Security Alert: Avoid Large Gatherings
Location: Nationwide
Event: Reports continuing to call for large public gatherings and marches are now nationwide and expected to continue into Tuesday, October 17. The Mission continues to strongly recommend situational telework and minimized movements for Chief of Mission personnel on Tuesday, October 17, 2023.
Actions To Take:
- Avoid large crowds.
- Be aware of your surroundings.
- Maintain a low profile.
- Carry proper identification.
- Review your personal security plans.
- Keep your cell phone charged in case of emergency.
- Monitor local media for updates and factor updated information into your travel plans and activities.
- Have a contingency plan for emergencies and review the Traveler’s Checklist
