MISSION OVERVIEW: The Official Post Reconstruction Virtual Trade Mission to Mozambique and Zimbabwe is meant to highlight the reconstruction needs of these countries to U.S. suppliers and service providers. Areas of reconstruction include rebuilding after devastating cyclones, civil and political unrest and devastating effects of COVID-19. These events have a direct impact on Mozambique and Zimbabwe resulting in USD billions in destroyed infrastructure.
WHAT TO EXPECT: The trade mission participants will have meetings at the Ministerial level, receive specific procurement opportunities from the governments and development banks including the World Bank, donors and other relevant government and private entities in these countries, get the latest on-the-ground from the American business community representatives and US Embassy officials discussing opportunities surrounding reconstruction efforts. Participating companies will have high-level exposure only offered to official participants. The Mission will include customized one-on-one business appointments with pre-screened potential local buyers, agents, distributors, and joint venture partners; meetings with high-level federal and state government officials and industry leaders; and, meetings with high-level US Government officials. The trade mission will also have the added benefit of helping contribute to the humanitarian effort.

TARGET AUDIENCE: The Mission will include representatives from U.S. producers and service providers with companies that offer critical infrastructure, energy infrastructure, construction-related products, health and IT systems infrastructure and services. The mission is open to U.S. companies from a cross-section of industries with growing potential such as agribusiness, alternative energy (renewable energy, storage, energy efficiency), construction equipment/road building machinery and environmental technologies.
