PEPFAR Trains Associations to Apply for Funding

Representatives from more than 150 Mozambican community-based organizations (CBOs) benefited from a training session on preparing proposals to apply for community grants from the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) to implement Community-Led Monitoring (CLM) of HIV/AIDS services in fiscal year 2022/2023.

The event organized by PEPFAR in partnership with the National AIDS Council (CNCS) took place this Monday (July 18), virtually, and served to inform, step-by-step, the requirements and processes for a robust application for PEPFAR funding.

The training takes place at a time when a notice of funding opportunity is open for non-profit community-based organizations (CBOs) that include faith-based organizations (FBOs), groups of people infected and/or affected by HIV/AIDS, key populations, and groups of people with disabilities interested in implementing the MLC program under the National Response to HIV/AIDS. Applications can be submitted until 11:59 pm on August 14, 2022.
