The PEPFAR Small Grants Program held a Community Partners Orientation Workshop between 14-16 March 2017 sponsored by the US Embassy through the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR ).
The workshop marked the beginning of the implementation of activities by 17 community-based organizations that received funding last February to implement community-based projects to support orphans and vulnerable children, care and support for adults living with HIV / AIDS, and support to priority populations, with focus on Adolescent Girls and Young Women.
The partners were trained in Project Management matters, focusing on: Project Cycle Management, Financial Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Minimum Standards for Orphans and Vulnerable Children Support, Communication and Image and Organizational Development.
We look forward to seeing the results of the workshop through the impact of the projects being implemented in the communities.
