The United States and the Netherlands will co-host the ninth Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES), June 4-5, 2019, in The Hague, Netherlands. GES is the preeminent annual gathering that convenes entrepreneurs, investors, and their supporters globally. During the two-day program, established entrepreneurs can seek funding from investors and scale their business globally. The applications for this competition are open to entrepreneurs with projects ready for investment, interested in internationalizing their services, products or solutions based on technologies that respond to business opportunities based on unresolved global problems.
- The Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) is the preeminent annual entrepreneurship gathering that convenes emerging entrepreneurs, investors, and supporters from around the world to share innovative ideas and advance economic growth. GES highlights American entrepreneurship admired around the world. GES is a unique environment for entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas, expand their networks, build partnerships, and secure funding.
- An estimated 20,000 emerging leaders have participated in these Summits since 2010. The United States launched the first Summit and has hosted or co-hosted every Summit since, most recently co-hosting the 2018 Summit with India. At the previous Summits, governments and the private sector have committed to provide over $1 billion in new capital to entrepreneurs worldwide.
- Promoting entrepreneurship is at the forefront of the U.S. government’s economic policy agenda, as a driver of prosperity, security, and job creation.
- GES is also an opportunity to showcase entrepreneurs from communities across America who are doing groundbreaking work: last year, GES featured entrepreneurs, investors, and ecosystem supporters from more than 38 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.
