Embassy Statement on Shooting in Parkland, Florida

February 16, 2018 – As a mark of solemn respect for the victims of the shooting at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida on February 14, 2018, President Trump has ordered the flag of the United States be flown at half-staff until sundown on February 19 at all United States embassies, legations, consular offices, and other facilities abroad, including U.S. Embassy Maputo.

As we mourn for all of those who lost their lives, our thoughts and prayers are with their families and loved ones, and with the entire community of Parkland, Florida that is now in shock, in pain, and searching for answers.
