Let’s All Count Mozambique!
August 8, 2017 – The United States Government proudly supports the National Institute of Statistics (INE) in Mozambique in the preparation and implementation of the IV Population Census 2017.
Through USAID we work in partnership with the Mozambican government, local organizations and businesses on development projects that touch the lives of millions of Mozambican citizens. We collaborate to ensure families receive health services no matter where they are from, that economic opportunities reach all Mozambican citizens, and that Mozambican children get the education they deserve for a prosperous future. Our partnership is built on trust, a shared vision of equitable economic growth in Mozambique, and most importantly, data! The information the census provides will help the Government of Mozambique target services and produce equitable policies to effectively respond to the needs of Mozambican citizens.
In support of the IV Population Census 2017, USAID and the United States Census Bureau worked with INE to design the census maps that will be used by dedicated men and women who will go from house to house to collect census data. We will continue our partnership with INE over the coming months to help analyze census data and disseminate the results to the Mozambican public.
We’d like to congratulate the National Institute of Statistics on realizing the IV Population Census 2017. We are proud to have played a small role in the implementation of this incredible undertaking. The census data will ensure that Mozambique is able to better serve the needs of all Mozambican citizens. Together we will design development programs that provide real solutions to development challenges both big and small.
Vamos Todos Contar Moçambique!
